Orientation for New students

To help new arriving students, the International Center provides orientation in various areas before the semester starts. Information regarding academic, living, immigration, etc. will be provided with the assistance of related administration offices. Also, UISO(UNIST International Student Organization) will help out students on settling down smoothly on the first day at campus.

 

Voluntary Program

With the cooperation from multiple organizations, the International Center is organizing voluntary programs for the ULSAN communities. Voluntary programs like Night Patrol Program with Ulju Police Station, English Mentor Program with Ulsan Welfare Center for the Blind are provided for all students at UNIST. The International Center will continue to seek opportunities for students to contribute their talent to the local community.
 

Special Lecture

Various lectures to help the settlement of international students are being prepared by the Center. With the help of IOM Migration Research & Training Center, Ulju Police Station, etc, the International Center are opening lectures on various subjects like “Settlement in Korea”, Basic Law information to live in Korea“, ”Education Session for Gender Awareness“, etc.
 

Culture Exchange Conversation (CEC)

By having diverse countries at UNIST, it is important to understand the differences others between multiple cultures. Culture Exchange Conversation is open to help students understand each other by presenting and discussing various areas from traditional customs to media trend. Program opens each semester upon notice.

International Club & Organization

UISO
UISO is a student government body working for the welfare of the UNIST international community and assists UNIST in integrating students from diverse cultures and different walks of life. UISO, in conjunction with the Global Center, aims to enrich the lives of international students through engagement in student organizations, campus activities and events, recreation, and leadership development.

UMUN
UMUN is a club that promotes cultural empathy and awareness of international affairs among youth. UMUN organizes its annual model United Nations conference, which is a simulation of United Nations general assembly meeting, on the UNIST campus and in the Ulsan Metropolitan area, discussing a wide range of topics from emerging world problems. These conferences aim to develop world leaders and to encourage students to invest in research, cultivate the spirit of teamwork and engage in educative and constructive debates to ensure effective problem solving in their immediate communities and the world as a whole.
